Certified Builders Guarantee
What is the Homefirst Builders Guarantee?
Members of the Certified Builders Association of New Zealand can apply to Builtin New Zealand Ltd for a ten-year written guarantee when undertaking your renovation. The guarantee gives the new homeowner additional reassurance and belief in the quality of the workmanship provided by their Certified Builder.
The Homefirst Builders Guarantee covers
- Loss of Deposit – not exceeding twenty per cent (20%) of the Contract Price, or $50,000, whichever is the less
- Non completion of the dwelling – not exceeding twenty per cent (20%) of the Contract Price, or $100,000, whichever is the less
- Structural Defects for 7 or 10 Years
- Non-Structural Defects for 2 Years
- Alternative Accommodation
